(syllabus)
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
The aim of the course is to illustrate the contents of a first course of Mathematical Analysis, with the addition of elements of Linear Algebra and of Analytic Geometry.
The objectives of the course are to provide the student with the main theoretical tools of Analysis and transmit a good command of the techniques for solving problems.
COURSE CONTENTS
The course mainly focuses on the following topics:
• elements of set theory, numerical sets, cartesian plane, complex numbers;
• introduction to the study of Linear Algebra and Analytic Geometry: vectors, matrix, linear systems, line and plane in the space, mutual position of line and plane, conicals;
• function of one real variable;
• limits of functions of one real variable;
• continuity and derivability for functions of real variable;
• integral calculus for functions of real variable.
