(syllabus)
LEARNING OBJECTIVES The course has the aim of supplying students with the general knowledge of the politics regarding consumer's rights In Europe and in Italy with particolar attention to the new laws (travel directive and ADR directive for consumers, refund directive and antitrust violation). Furthermore the course has the aim of giving students the devices which regulate the protection of the consumer in the Italian and European legislation for the use of eventual professional activity.
COURSE CONTENTS The course will have as subject the consumer protection in Italian legislation: • historical evolution of consumers legislation, its phases and reasons of its development; • unconscionable clauses; • contracts outside business premises; • distance contracts; • timeshare contracts; • travelling contracts; • contracts of consumer credit market and supply of goods; • sale warranty; • unfair commercial practices; • consumer adr; • antitrust violation and consumer protection. During the course, regulation texts will be analysed, along with the most relevant judgments of the Law Court of the European Community, of the Court of Cassation and by the Court of Law.
