Principles of Political Economy The course aims to introduce the basic concepts of political economy. The course is structured in two parts, the first part will deal with microeconomics, macroeconomics and in the second part outlines the process of integration in Europe
market development, supply and demand, utility, indifference curves, production, costs, competition, monopoly, oligopoly, efficiency and equity, gross domestic product, consumption, savings, investments, money market, inflation, deflation, labor market, unemployment , market failures, macroeconomic balance, external balance, adjustment policies in the open economy, the international financial crisis
