Course Objectives: The course delves into topics of organizational behavior closely linked to the concept of behavior, a necessary condition for achieving assigned objectives and increasing the chances of success. The goal of the course is to explore, from a highly interactive managerial perspective, scientific and theoretical research on organizational behavior, their applications within complex organizations, and the necessary conditions for achieving assigned objectives and increasing the chances of success. The course will develop basic concepts useful for understanding human behavior within organizations from a managerial perspective. Lectures, case study discussions, and exercises will focus on themes related to individuals, groups, and organizational processes in work contexts.

Continuous Assessment Methods: The students' learning progress is continuously monitored through various assessment tools and methodologies. Specifically, to make verification and certification of learning outcomes feasible, the instructor and tutor will consider: Automatic tracking of educational activities by the system - reporting; Didactic and technical monitoring (in terms of quantity and quality of interactions, adherence to deadlines, submission of required assignments, etc.); Formative assessments for self-evaluation (e.g., multiple-choice tests, true/false, sequence of questions with varying difficulty, simulations, concept maps, papers, group projects, etc.); The final profit examination, which takes into account and values the work done online (distance activities, quantity, and quality of online interactions, etc.). Evaluation Criteria: The evaluation will consider multiple aspects: a. The result of a certain number of intermediate tests (online tests, development of papers, etc.); b. The quality and quantity of participation in online activities (frequency and quality of contributions monitored through the platform); c. The results of the final exam. Access to the exam is subject to recognition of attendance, which will be certified at the time of exam registration, attesting to the completion of in-progress assessments and the level of work done in various exercises. The exam will consist of an oral interview and the grade will be expressed in a scale of 30. The exam can be conducted in either English or Italian, at the student's choice. The oral exam will include at least three questions on the topics described in the course syllabus. Assessment Methods and Exam Objectives: The exam aims to evaluate the achievement of learning objectives. Specifically: a) The student must demonstrate knowledge of organizational behavior and the main themes underlying the functioning of organizations; b) The ability to discuss organizational behavior and organizational relationships; c) The ability to apply knowledge to practical cases.
Grading: A maximum of 10 points will be awarded for each objective (a, b, and c). To pass the exam, a minimum score of 6 points per objective is required. Honors will be awarded if the student: a) Achieves the maximum score in all objectives; b) Demonstrates full autonomy in conducting the oral interview; c) Shows problem-solving skills on the topics covered.
Knowledge and Understanding (Dublin Descriptor 1): The student will acquire adequate knowledge and understanding of operational tools related to organizational behavior and their applications in business practice; fundamental theories of organizational behavior; applications of organizational behavior theories to managerial decisions; and approaches to solving business problems through the discussion of relevant case studies.
Applying Knowledge and Understanding (Dublin Descriptor 2): Relying on the knowledge and understanding of the above topics, the student will be able to understand how the study of organizational behavior can help improve performance and well-being in the workplace; understand models, theories, and concepts of organizational behavior that can be used to promote the effectiveness of business strategies, management, individuals, groups, and organizations.
