Introduction, Airport System, Technical Characteristics of an airport infrastructure. Runways, Safety distances of runways. Safety areas of runways. Stopway, Clearway, ACN and PCN, Aerodrome Reference Code, Taxi operations, Aprons, Signals, Limit Areas, Airport Manual, LVP/NAP, Airport Manager, Organization of Airport Manager, Post Holders, Landside - Airside, Driving in Airport facilities, Apron Management Service, Safety Management System, Rescue, firefighting and emergency operations.
The Student, based on lessons learned during the course, shall be able to :
- Distinguish among different operations areas of an Airport, - Know the infrastructural elements of an Airport, - Know the meaning of aeronautical acronyms, - Know information and safety signals - Know operation procedures and vehicle circulation in airside - Know the problems related to Airport Management; - Know the Organization of the Airport Manager and Post Holders; - Know the requirements of Air Transport - Know the normal and emergency procedures
