SUPPA DOMENICO
(syllabus)
Selected topics are intended to provide a body of knowledge in economic theory, which is useful for interdisciplinary studies. This educational approach should be able to add value to the humanistic formation, particularly in the field of law. Therefore, for the student, it is proposed a learning process centered on standard concepts of microeconomic theory (consumer theory, production theory, the main forms of market and evaluation of their impact on social well-being), and on two of the main theories of macroeconomics (neoclassical and Keynesian), providing the main references to the theoretical debate that has involved them. Some lessons are dedicated to models IS-LM and AS-AD. The focus is also placed on the Phillips curve and its main interpretations. Some lessons are dedicated to more advanced and current topics: public goods and free-rider problem, tariffs on import and protectionism, the managerial models of the firm, the European economic policy during the global crisis.
