LEARNING OBJECTIVES Students are expected to learn (ESP) English for specific purposes: English used in academic and professional contexts. They are expected to understand the basics of Business English, learn the language of global communication, read and write e-mails, receive and make business phone calls, learn the appropriate language to attend conferences and meetings, and, know how to gist and scan read pre-selected articles dealing with the world of work. The overall aim is to lead the student to be able to use the specific language in real working contexts.
